Email was sent on March 3rd. It has instructions on how to select electives in PowerSchool for next school year. THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ELECTIVE CHOICES IS MARCH 20, 2026. Request Screens to Select Elective Choices will close March 20, 2026. ** HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS WILL BE HERE FOR 8TH GRADERS ON MARCH 10 AT 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Anderson's honors math class joined together in architectural teams to design an Innovative Zone project. From castles , steampunk art buildings, and an airport students had to follow strict "zoning permits" that included geometric requirements such as obtuse scalene triangles and adjacent angles. The final phase had these 7th graders inspect other designs using inspection tools such as a protractor. Stay tuned for pictures of these designs.

The last two weeks in STEM, students learned about the science of roofs and why their shapes are so crucial in hurricane zones. Students were then challenged to build a "Hurricane Proof" House while being tasked with keeping the materials within a budget. I then took a leaf blower to their houses.
