SILENT AUCTION ENDS THIS THURSDAY
HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS
Due to our early dismissal on 12/15/23 PK-5 classes will do holiday activities throughout the morning fitting it in between instructional time and specials (PE, Music, Art, STEAM). This makes it difficult to have visitors for the activities as they will be split up throughout our morning.
Stay tuned for more details from your child's teacher about what their class will be doing.
THANK YOU!
We were able to collect 272 cans for Bethel Church in Garden City. Thank you to everyone who donated during our ANNUAL collection.
We also raised $360 with our Dine to Donate night at Texas Roadhouse last month. We used this money to help support our student activities that occur throughout the year.
Winter Weather Announcments
It is that time of year when the weather might interfere with our daily school day. We will use our messaging system and try to notify you if there is a cancellation or delay before 6:00 AM. We will also post the information on our website and social media pages.
As a reminder, we use MONDAYS as our snow make up days when needed. The district will announce any make up days as soon after the snow day.
Being A Trauma Informed School
The implementation of a trauma-informed approach is an ongoing organizational change process. A “trauma-informed approach” is not a program model that can be implemented and then simply monitored by a fidelity checklist. Rather, it is a profound paradigm shift in knowledge, perspective, attitudes and skills that continues to deepen and unfold over time.
Some leaders in the field are beginning to talk about a “continuum” of implementation, where organizations move through stages. The continuum begins with becoming trauma aware and moves to trauma sensitive to responsive to being fully trauma informed.

November Students of the month -- POSITIVITY
Congratulations to these students who are being recognized for their POSITIVITY!
Positivity is a state of mind. It's a choice you make. When you commit to being positive it helps you maintain a positive outlook when things are hard. Being positive won't get rid of negativity or bad things, but you will become more tuned to spotting the positive when negative thoughts come to mind.
We appreciate the example of POSITIVITY each of these members of our learning community share every day!
