News Fromthe RanchMarch 1, 2026, Vol. 1, Issue 28

Dear TRE Family,

We had an awesome Friday Flag celebrating student awards for Integrity, as well as our classes with the highest attendance for January (Ms. Huff) and February (Ms. Aguilar). We also announced that Mr. Judd's class will have a pizza party as the highest number of receipts turned in for Earn & Learn. For the next month, the primary and secondary classes with the highest number of Earn & Learn receipts turned in will earn extra recess. Keep turning in those Earn & Learn receipts so we can maintain our current ranking of 2nd place and earn money for our PTA sponsored programs.

Thank you to all of our families and staff who came out to support our school at the Shake Shack Family Restaurant Night. What a fun way to gather as a community and raise money for our school!

We have lots of exciting things going on at TRE this week! We celebrate National School Breakfast Week in our Food Services Cafe. It's Read Across America Week with a Book Character dress up day on Monday, March 2nd. We also have our amazing Book Fair in the library all week with a fun Family Reading Night on Monday, March 2nd from 4:45-6 PM. Take some time to review the details below regarding volunteers and setting up an e-wallet. It's going to be a great week celebrating a love of reading!

LCAP LCAP

Dear TUSD Families,

At Tustin Unified, we value your voice! Your input is essential as we set goals and actions for the 2026-27 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) guides how California distributes state funding to school districts, ensuring resources support both core and supplemental programs. The LCAP serves as a vital tool for transparency and community engagement in this process. You can explore the current Board Approved 2025-26 LCAP on our district website.

As we plan for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, we want to hear from you! Your feedback will help shape district priorities and guide updates to our LCAP. Please take a few moments to complete the 2026-27 LCAP Survey and share what matters most in your child’s education. The LCAP Survey was sent via Parent Square to all families.

We encourage all families to participate by April 11, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact the Educational Services Department.

With appreciation,
Stephanie Yang, Ed.D.
Director of Educational Services
Tustin Unified School District
