Message from the Head of School

A Fantastic First Half Term!

What an incredibly busy and successful first half term we've all had! Our children have embraced a wonderful range of enrichment opportunities, including:

  • Bude residentials
  • Sponsored walks
  • Science museum visits
  • Rugby tournaments
  • Brass lessons
  • Bikeability training

I'm very proud of all the children who have thrown themselves into these experiences, and I hope they continue to thrive as the year progresses.

The final of our whole-school poetry competition took place this week, and the judges were incredibly impressed with the standard of all finalists. The overall winner was Emse in Year 4, who performed her poem with confidence and a huge smile on her face. Well done to everyone who took part – you've all developed important presentation skills through this event.

The initial Year 5 Bude presentation will take place on Monday 3rd November at 3.30pm in the Rose Hall. This presentation will provide families with an insight into this amazing residential experience. We encourage as many of you to attend as possible. However, we understand that not everyone can make it, so slides and information will be emailed out to all Year 5 parents after the event.

This term's parents consultations will take place on 11th and 13th November. This is an important part of your child’s education journey so please ensure you have signed up for a slot using our booking system.

Fireworks Event – Volunteers Needed

Finally, HPPA are looking for a team of volunteers to help make this year's fireworks event possible. If you can spare some time, please sign up via this link: Fireworks volunteer rota.xlsx - Google Sheets

Finally a huge thank you to all the lovely books purchased via our Amazon Wish List. It really does make a difference and the children are really looking forward to reading them. The links are below should you wish to purchase a book for our school library.

Thank you for your continued support.

Parents and carers, we need your help to improve our library!

Over the last few years families have very kindly contributed gifts to the school via the Amazon wish list. These gifts are always incredibly well received and have made such a difference to the school community. This term we are asking families to help improve the variety of non-fiction books we have in the school library - an area used and enjoyed by all children, all the time!

This is where the Amazon Wish List comes in! This Wish List is populated by teachers who have a clear understanding of what additional books we need and what would make the biggest difference to your child and their classes.

When completing your purchase, please remember to include a gift receipt so we can see who kindly donated.

If you are able to make a purchase, please follow the links below:
