WE ARE ALL ABOUT K.I.D.S.
February 2026
NO SCHOOL FEB. 2 & 27

Hello Greenwood Families,
Brighter, warmer days are ahead, and we’re excited to watch the season change with your children. As we continue through this cold winter, we want to make sure every student is comfortable and ready to enjoy outdoor activities and recess. If your child needs extra cold‑weather gear (coats, hats, gloves, or boots), please let us know. Students can stop by the shared bin and we’ll gladly provide items to borrow — and you can return them when you no longer need them.
Second Semester
The second semester has begun! We have successfully completed half of the school year. K-3 students should have received their Student Improvement Plan, FastBridge Parent Letter, and Information for our district leadership. Please be on the look out for your child's progress report (report card). As usual, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to answer and support.
Literacy Night is upon us! It is Wednesday February 25th- 4:30-6:00 pm. We are excited for another fun night filled with books, learning, family, and food. This year we will serve food at literacy night! This event is for the whole family to enjoy. We can't wait to see you and of course be on the look out for our literacy spirit week of activities, as we kick off March as Literacy Month.
First Day Shoe Fund is now hosting spring distribution at Greenwood! All students are eligible to receive a pair of shoes, if their parent/guardian registers them. Please take a moment to fill out the registration, here, as there is a hard cut off date of February 10th. Shoes will be distributed February 24th. If you are wanting to volunteer, please contact the front office.
Thank you for your partnership!
Mrs. E. Sikaundi

Attendance Matters
Any changes to your child's regular dismissal plans should be
communicated to the office no later than 3:00pm.
The attendance procedures are designed for all students. Good attendance will help students do well in school, college, and at work. It does not matter if absences are excused or unexcused, they all represent lost time in the classroom and lost opportunity to learn. Too many absent students can impact the whole classroom. Show your child that attendance matters to you and that you will not allow an absence, unless someone is truly sick.
Tardy students must be signed in at the office and receive a tardy pass before entering class.
Winter Ready
.
Make sure your little one has all they need for outdoor recess. If you are in need of any items, please don't hesitate to contact the front office. We will be going outside in cold weather.
