We are happy to announce that we have formed a co-op team with Monument Mountain Regional High School to be able to provide Unified Basketball to our students! Unified Sports were developed by the Special Olympics as a way to provide high-quality athletic experiences in an inclusive environment. Teams consist of students with and without intellectual disabilities. Some practices and games will be held at MMRHS, and some at LMHS. The time commitment is 2-3 days per week total for practices and games.

Signups are taking place now! Contact Athletic Director Keith Thomson with any questions.

Grade Reporting @ LMHS Grade Reporting @ LMHS

LMHS does not issue quarterly report cards*. Instead, grade reports are issued twice per year - in January and June - at the end of each semester. Additionally, monthly "interim grade reports" are issued at the end of most months, except for January and June. These quarterly report cards serve as a "snapshot" of your student's grade in each class at that moment, and they also serve one more important purpose: a role in co-curricular eligibility. We check the grades on each monthly interim grade report, and students who aren't meeting the eligibility criteria (generally, passing at least 5 classes) are put on probation until the next monthly report. If they improve their grades to meet the standard on the next report, probation is lifted; if they do not, they are removed from the co-curricular activity.

The first monthly interim grade report will be issued after 3:00pm on Friday, September 27th.

*The one exception to this is middle school rotation classes that run for one quarter each. Middle school students will receive a grade report each quarter for that one rotation class.

We will be having a school-wide assembly this Thursday, September 19, to host a guest speaker. Mark Leinweaver will be presenting to our students on "Why Character Matters." A handful of our students were able to see Mark last year at the MIAA Sportsmanship Summit, and we are excited to bring him to LMHS to present to the full student body.

You can learn more about Mark at his website.
