MES Weekly Scoop
It's A Great Day to Be A Bulldog! Bulldogs Don't Quit!
Principal's Note
September 15-19, 2025
Dear MES families,
We are now about four weeks into the school year, and it is wonderful to see learning going strong, routines being established, and our students thriving. Thank you for the continued support in helping make this a great start to the year!
This Wednesday, September 17th, we will recognize Constitution Day. At school, students will take time to learn about the importance of the Constitution and what it means for our rights and responsibilities as citizens. At home, you can honor this day by talking with your child about freedoms we enjoy, reading the Preamble together, or simply reflecting on how the Constitution shapes our daily lives.
Finally, a reminder that candy bar sales kick off this Thursday, September 18th! Thank you in advance for supporting this fundraiser—it directly benefits our school and students.
Together, we are building a strong foundation for a successful year!
With appreciation,

25-26 MARYSVILLE ELEMENTARY STUDENT/PARENT HANDBOOK
25/26 MES Parent Handbook
Our Parent Handbook is an important resource that outlines the expectations, policies, and procedures for the school year. It includes information about academics, attendance, behavior expectations, communication, and ways families can stay engaged in their child’s learning.
We ask that families review the handbook occasionally so that everyone is familiar with our school guidelines. Please continue to reference it throughout the year whenever questions arise. Working together, we can ensure a safe, supportive, and successful school experience for every child.
Reminder About Bus Lane Parking
For the safety of our students, please do not park in the bus lane at any time. If you plan to enter the building, we ask that you use the designated parking stalls or park on the other side of the cement/barricade wall. This ensures our buses or district vans transporting students to and from other schools have clear access and keeps drop-off and pick-up running smoothly. Thank you for your cooperation!

Character Strong – Week 3: Respect
Part of showing Respect is treating others with care. What would this look like at school? We can show Respect by holding the door open for someone, raising our hand instead of shouting out an answer, or allowing others a chance to play a game at recess. We can also treat the supplies and things we use with care, like putting the markers away or cleaning up our trash in the cafeteria. Look for ways you can show Respect to people AND things today!
