Accelerate, Innovate, Integrate and do great! Message from the Principal

As we move through the third quarter, this is a great time for students to refocus and give their best effort each day. Logging in consistently, following your weekly plan, and completing a little progress at a time really adds up. Remember: staying on track doesn’t mean being perfect—it means showing up, trying your best, and asking for help when you need it. We’re here to support you every step of the way! High school students: please plan ahead—courses must be completed by March 26. Finals will be taken in person at the community center on March 25th and 26th between 9-12. Please mark your calendar now. Let’s use the break to stay on track and finish strong!

Our next field trip will be to the Wild Animal Park on March 12th. This is a free trip with bus transportation. Please pick up a permission slip from Mr. Quinn at the community center or download the permission slip and return no later than this Thursday, March 5th.

Reminder: All 5th, 7th and 9th grade students need to schedule time to complete the mandatory physical fitness testing at Sullivan Middle School. Please contact Miss B.

All students are expected to continue working 3–5 hours daily to remain on track. Additionally, all high school students should remain focused on completing their required community service hours, as this is an important graduation requirement.

Parents are encouraged to regularly monitor student progress through the Parent Observer account, which provides real-time insight into coursework completion and academic performance.

Thank you again for your continued support and for entrusting us with your children. We look forward to welcoming our students back in January and continuing this important work together.

We are monitoring students' progress very closely. If students are not on track and checking in with their teacher, they will be in violation of the master contract agreement that was signed. Students will then need to transition back to in-person school.

Parents, please remember to check your child's daily attendance and progress. All students should be working 3-5 hours per day or more in order to complete their classes on time. If you need help, please ask Miss B. High school students Must complete 20 credits of CTE or college level classes in order to graduate. This has been a part of our graduation status meetings in the past. Please make sure to sign up to take the free Palomar college classes. Reach out to Mr. Hinchliff

( greg.hinchliff@bonsallusd.com) for support. Questions, please feel free to contact Miss Brueninger or myself: 760-685-1686. Together, we will Accelerate, Innovate, Integrate, and do Great!

Warm regards,
Tina Calabrese

💛 Support Love On Your Back

Helping Bonsall Students in Need

Love On Your Back was founded by longtime Bonsall teacher Carol Wood, who served the

Bonsall Unified School District for 32 years. Upon retiring, Carol and a team of dedicated

volunteers launched this nonprofit organization to ensure that no child in our community goes

hungry.

The Love On Your Back Nutritional Backpack Program provides weekend food support for

Bonsall students whose families are facing financial hardship or crisis. Many of these students

rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school week, and this program bridges the gap

by sending home nutritious food to help families through the weekend. Currently we support 153

children in our program.

Our mission is simple but vital: to ensure every child in the Bonsall Unified School District

has the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Unfortunately, with food prices on the rise and limited supplies available from local food banks,

our funds are running low. We are reaching out to our community for help to keep this important

program going.

💛 How You Can Help:

● Make a monetary donation via Venmo: @LoveOnYourBack

● Or send a check to:

We also welcome corporate sponsorships, and we are happy to provide tax-deductible

donation receipts upon request. For more information about our program visit loyb.weebly.com

Together, we can make sure that no child in Bonsall goes hungry.

Thank you for your generosity and support!

Online resources Reading grades K-5

Florida center for reading resources is a collection of research based/teacher created Student Center Activities for use in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms. The activities are designed for students to practice, demonstrate, and extend their learning of what has already been taught, sometimes with teacher assistance and sometimes independently. Students can complete the activities in small groups, pairs, or individually.

Accompanying these Student Center Activities is a Teacher Resource Guide that offers important insights on differentiated instruction and how to use the Student Center materials.
