Dear Riley Parents, Guardians, and Scholars,

Thank you, Wildcats, for an amazing first semester of the 2025–26 school year. We have experienced both ups and downs, but each challenge has been an opportunity to learn, grow, and become stronger together.

As we approach final exams, I encourage all scholars to finish the semester strong by completing all projects, tests, papers, and academic tasks to the best of their ability.

Finals Schedule

Final Exams: December 17–18, 2025
Winter Break Begins: December 19, 2025
Scholars Return: Monday, January 5, 2026

How Do I Know If I Earned My Credit?

Scholars must pass two out of three grading components or earn a 60% overall average in the course:

Pass Quarter 1 (Q1) and Quarter 2 (Q2)
Pass Quarter 1 (Q1) and the Final Exam
Pass Quarter 2 (Q2) and the Final Exam

Final grades will be finalized after scholars and staff return from Winter Break.

Scholars are also encouraged to write down or save their locker combinations in their phones to ensure a smooth transition back to school after break.

Christmas/Winter Break begins:

Mrs. Misner began her SBCSC journey at Nuner Fine Arts Academy, later bringing her passion for dance to Clay High School, and now to Riley High School where she teaches Modern, Jazz, and Ballet.

Riley High School Thespian Troupe is going to STATE! The Drama Club earned 2nd at the Regional Competition, which qualifies them for State!

*FINAL EXAMS ARE WORTH 20% of the SEMESTER GRADE

* On Wednesday, December 17th CTE students from Period 6 will remain at their home schools and be supervised by the CTE Specialist and others.

* NO HOMEROOM/ADVISORY

This is the first time in City Championship history since 1956 that we finished with a Tie between Riley and Adams!

The Wildcats Head Coach, Columbus and Daniel made a commitment to honor Jaraan's name for every inner-city home game with a moment of silence and the wearing of a shooting shirt with his picture.
