Students in Grades 6-8 shared their student voice last Tuesday, with volunteers from the United Way. Students discussed their community, school, and needs of youth. Students were selected by staff and their peers for being leaders at GMS. A big THANK YOU to our student leaders and staff that supported throughout the day.
Another THANK YOU to Ms. Rusch for sharing her passion for Veterans with GMS and organizing another great Veterans Day assembly.

The Glenview Band
The Band department is using 8th grade mentors to teach beginners how to play. Soon the 8th graders will replace Mr. Brown. 🙂

The Mariachi students have been busy this fall with several performances. The beginning Mariachi students will have their first performance at our concert on December 19th at 7pm in the Glenview South gym! The Intermediate and Advanced Mariachi continue to strive for excellence by learning difficult music and advanced techniques. An example of one of these advanced techniques… walking, playing and singing at the same time (1st time ever) in the Dia de los Muertos parade!
