Howdy,
As we close out the next three weeks, it is important to remember that the end of the 2nd Nine Weeks & 1st Semester will take place on 12/20/2023 @ 1 pm. For UIL purposes, a student must be passing all classes for the 2nd 9 Weeks to be eligible for the 3rd 9 Weeks.
This time is also important for credit purposes (High School) and for grade promotion (Middle School). For a year-long course, a student must have a minimum of a 70 average (average of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Nine Weeks) to gain full credit. For a semester course, a student must have a minimum of a 70 average (1st & 2nd or 3rd & 4th Nine Weeks) to gain credit (High School only).
If you have any questions about your child's grades, please contact your child's teacher(s).
Veteran's Day Program
On November 10, we had our Annual Veteran's Day Program. All of our kiddos K-12 were present in the gym, and our kiddos did an OUTSTANDING job recognizing our Military. Without our Military's sacrifice, we would not have the freedoms that we have today.
I want to say "Thank You" to Wade Batchelor, Casen Powell, Timberlyn Dulude, Cirra Burgess, Paxton Speed, Mrs. Fortune, Ms. Rodriquez, Ms. Gamblin, Mrs. Mills, Yantis FFA, Mr. & Mrs. Derington, Mrs. Stranznicky, the 3rd grade, the 4th grade, Sgt. Brandon Redmond, Chef Cruz, and many others for all of their work to make this program a success!
The Veteran's Day Program is always a very important program to me personally. I always think about my grandfather and his pride in being in the Military. My grandfather was in the 101st Airborne in WWII. He served our country in Operation Market Garden and received a Purple Heart, and other medals for his bravery during the war.
