Message from Mr. Imbusch
Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:
Next Friday, October 9th, we are administering the PSAT’s to all Sophomores and Juniors during the school day. As this is school day testing no action is required on the part of students and families. The students have been registered for the test by WHS. More information in the flier below.
Please note this is not a numbered day. There are no scheduled classes and all underclassmen need to be at school by 7:25 a.m. Students in 10th & 11th grade will report to the assigned testing rooms. 9th grade students will be participating in a Career Fair, Team Building Exercises and hearing from a guest speaker. Seniors are encouraged to use this day to focus on their post secondary planning, whether that is college visits, meeting with a recruiter, scheduling interviews or catching up on applications and supplements.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Stephen Imbusch

News from the World Language Department
On Wednesday, September 23, the WHS World Language Department hosted a representative from School Year Abroad who spoke to our students about their semester and school year long study abroad programs for high school students. SYA has campuses in Rennes, France; Viterbo, Italy; and Zaragoza, Spain. Students live with host families, attend school and immerse themselves in the language and culture of the country. One of our current Walpole High School seniors is doing a semester abroad with SYA this fall in Rennes, France, and is having an amazing experience. For information about School Year abroad go to their website: https://www.sya.org/

From the Nurses
Medication Permission Reminder
1.) Please remember to check the medication permission box and sign the medication permission section on your student’s profile form that was sent home with your student on the first day of school.
The school nurse cannot legally administer medication without written parent/guardian permission and consent.
2.) If your student has a prescribed epinephrine auto-injector or Inhaler please remember to provide the High School Health Office with their current MD order/Allergy Action Plan.
As a best practice, we encourage students to carry their own epinephrine or inhaler in their backpack/bag so it is readily available in case of an emergency. The MD order/Allergy Action Plan will be kept in the Health Office, and we will also have an extra stock supply of epinephrine available for emergency use.
Please check that your student’s medication is not expired!
We appreciate your partnership!
