Budget Approved By Board Of Education
The Naperville 203 Board of Education approved the school district’s budget for the 2023-2024 school year during its Tuesday, June 20, meeting.
An increase in staffing and new district initiatives, such as the purchase of electric buses, have resulted in a projected deficit of $4.79 million. Despite the planned deficit, Naperville 203 is projected to finish the year with an appropriate fund balance of $112.17 million.
Revenues for the year are expected to be $326.01 million, a 4.78 percent increase over last year’s budget. Expenses are projected at $330.81 million, a 2.47 percent increase from prior year’s budget.
