Davis families are invited to our very first Passport To Culture! The Davis School, Parents Diversity Council and BEST PTO are hosting this event to give families the opportunity to celebrate and learn from each other’s identities, culture and traditions.
Multicultural Potluck 5:00-5:45 PM - Outdoor in front of Davis School - Try some dishes from around the world - this will not be a full dinner, just a tasting to celebrate different cultures. Sign up by October 15 if you want to bring a dish to share: https://tinyurl.com/mpb53pdb
Please bring a card identifying your dish with a list of all ingredients (for food allergies), and avoid dishes with peanuts and treenuts. All food and drink will be generously provided by families, and guests should enjoy at their own discretion.
Cultural Pavilion 5:30-6:15 PM – Cafeteria – Featuring booths to showcase families’ cultures, traditional dress, pictures, maps and other treasures. (Please, NO food at booths) Sign up by October 15 to host a booth: https://tinyurl.com/4k5sed9s
Evening Performance 6:15-6:30 PM – Cafeteria – a dance performance from Cultura Latina Dance Academy in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month will be the capstone to our evening.
This is not a drop-off event. Families should stay together and supervise their children as they "travel" together throughout the evening.

Flu Vaccine Clinic for Davis Students Event
Flu Vaccine Clinic
Hello Davis School parents/guardians/caregivers,
I hope this email finds you well and your school year is off to a good start! For those of you I haven’t met, I’m Jackie, the Public Health Nurse for the town.
The Health Department will be offering a flu vaccine clinic to Davis School students on Thursday, October 30th during the school day. The clinic will offer both the traditional flu vaccine and the intranasal flu vaccine (FluMist). Attached to this email you will find the Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) for both vaccines.
It is required that you register your student in advance of the clinic. Please note that there are limited spaces available and registration will close on October 16th.
We do collect insurance. If you are uninsured and experiencing hardship, please contact me to see if we can make accommodations.
To register your student for the Davis School flu vaccine clinic, click this link: https://home.color.com/vaccine/register/bedford?calendar=1d9f999a-a031-42fb-b212-a18fd86be67b&site=davis-school-1. Please note that you will have to choose an appointment time as part of the registration process – this is a default in the system. Please choose any time available – students will be called down based on teacher, not based on appointment time.
If you are unable to make this clinic, Bedford Health Department’s Town-Wide Clinic will be offering traditional and intranasal flu vaccine to those 3 years of age and older. Please go to the Health Department’s Vaccine Clinic Information – Community page to find the link to register.
Please email me with any questions at jbarmashi@bedfordma.gov or call the Health Department at 781-275-6507.
Sincerely,
Jackie Barmashi, BS, BSN, RN
