Bett District Update

Bettendorf High School Environmental Science students have been busy making a difference at the Devils Glen Park Rusty Patched Bumblebee Garden! 🌿

Students rolled up their sleeves to remove invasive Japanese hops and plant native flowers that provide critical habitat for the endangered rusty patched bumblebee.

Now in its third year, the garden was established in fall 2023 by Environmental Science 111 students, transforming a former playground into a space that supports pollinators and educates our community about protecting this endangered species.

💛🖤 Way to go, Bulldogs! Your hard work is helping create a healthier environment, one flower at a time! #BettPride #EnvironmentalScience #SaveTheBees #BettendorfBulldogs #BeeTheChange
