Good News Club is BACK!!!

Good News Club is putting final touches on our program for your children. We cannot accept kindergarten students at this time, unless they have older siblings also attending the club. We will be starting after school Monday, September 16, and running on consecutive Mondays when school is in session. This attached registration form must be received before your child can attend. Please return one form for each child to Angela Boyd at baboyd11@gmail.com or turn into the school office by August 30. Blank forms are also available in the school office if needed.

Blessings to you and your families,

Let's Practice Math At Home!

Here are some ways you can help at home:

  • Make math fun: Play math games, such as board games or math video games. You can also encourage your child to teach you math.
  • Use everyday objects: Incorporate math into daily life by using everyday objects to teach math concepts. For example, you can count while riding in the car or identify shapes and colors in the environment.
  • Ask questions: Encourage your child to be curious about numbers and counting by asking questions.
  • Foster a positive attitude: Show math as a fascinating subject and emphasize that making mistakes is part of learning.
  • Use pictures: Pictures can be helpful tools when teaching math concepts.
  • Use math apps: Some math apps can help students model and solve math word problems.
  • Get a tutor: Online math tutoring can help children learn at their own pace and get real-time feedback.
