TMEA Region 3

These results should be coming from the TMEA website after the 72 hour mark.

Per the TMEA Region 3 Audition Policies and Procedures, the following protocols will be used for ensemble promotions:

• If a member of the 9th Grade Band earns a spot in one of the HS groups, that student automatically advances to the HS group regardless of chair.

• If a vacancy occurs in either the Wind Ensemble, the Wind Symphony or the Symphonic Band, then the first chair player from that section in the next lowest group automatically advances to the HS group regardless of chair.

• Any vacancies in the Concert Band will be filled with alternate band positions until there are no longer alternates available.

• In the event of extenuating circumstances, the Region Chair may choose to pull additional alternates from the Phase 1 contest only if the instrumentation of the Concert Band falls below that of the Symphonic band.

Please check the official results page on the TMEA website (links provided above) periodically to review your placement.

Please confirm the availability with all of your students that have been selected to participate in an All-Region band, and review your districts Academic Eligibility calendar. Campus Entry for Students:
All participating TMEA Band Students will be able to enter through the band hall doors both Thursday evening and Friday morning. The Band Hall doors will lock at 9:15 AM on Friday morning. Any student who arrives late will need to go through the main entrance of the school and be allowed access through the front office.

Campus Entry for Directors:
Directors will enter through the band hall doors on Thursday evening. All directors must check in with the front office on Friday if arriving after the band hall doors have locked (9:15 AM). You will be required to have your district ID when you arrive and must display it while inside Poteet High School at all times.

Required Name Tags:
All participating TMEA Band Students will be given a name tag at Thursday night’s rehearsal. This name tag must be worn on Friday during rehearsals while on the Poteet campus.

Campus Entry For Students

All participating TMEA Band students will be able to enter Door 27 on the west side of the building. This door faces Brunswick Ln. Door 27 will lock at 9:15 AM on Friday morning. Any student who arrives late will need to go through the main entrance of the school and be allowed access through the front office.

Rehearsal Location

The Wind Symphony rehearsals will take place on the auditorium stage (First Double Door on the right if you are entering from door 27. If entering from the front of the building it will be the first hallway on the right after exiting the front office.)

Campus Entry for Directors

Directors will enter through door 27 on Thursday evening. On Friday, directors will need to enter through the front office using their district ID.

School Bus Parking

Any buses that need to stay on campus at any time at West Mesquite need to park at the back end of the west side parking lot (parking lot by door 27) OR in the Memorial Stadium parking lot.

Campus Entry for Students:

All participating TMEA Band Students will be able to enter through door 36 from the parking lot Thursday evening and Friday morning. The Band Hall doors will lock at 9:15 AM on Friday morning. Any student who arrives late will need to go through the main entrance of the school and be allowed access through the front office.

Directors will enter through door 36 from the parking lot on Thursday evening. All directors must check in with the front office on Friday if arriving after the band hall doors have locked (9:15 AM). You will be required to have your district ID when you arrive and must display it while inside North Mesquite High School at all times.

All participating TMEA Band Students will be given a name tag at Thursday night’s rehearsal. This name tag must be worn on Friday during rehearsals while on the North Mesquite campus.

Concert Location

All concerts will be held at Poteet High School

Concert Entry

All performers and audience members will be allowed to enter Poteet High School through the front entrance beginning at 4:30 PM.

Instrument Storage

All instrument cases will be stored in the Poteet High School cafeteria during the concerts.

Warm-Up

Warm-Up for all bands will be in the Poteet High School band hall.

At the conclusion of your concert:

Parents may meet their student in the Poteet High School commons. Please avoid the hallway near the fine arts facilities, as this will still be an active performance zone. After you have had the opportunity to take pictures with family, and visited the merchandise booth please depart the Poteet High School campus to allow for families of the later performances to enter the concert venue.

TMF will be available in the Poteet High School commons at the conclusion of your students concert with commemorative merchandise for the TMEA All-Region Bands.
