NHE Counseling Corner

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Kindness Week at NHE! We had fun dressing up each day and remembering to choose kind! Thank you to our students who completed at least 20 random acts of kindness using our Kindness Calendar! We had fun celebrating with ice cream sandwiches in the garden!

Career Day is set for Tuesday, May 12th. Sign up by April 1st to let us know you are interested and available to present at this year's Career Day! Please share our flyer with your friends and family!

Here is an overview of the lesson topics that will be covered in our counselor lessons with students in the 4th 9 weeks.

We are so proud of our 6th graders for choosing their classes for 7th grade! The last step we have to do to finalize their course selection will be to review and approve the list of classes your child has chosen for 7th grade. All 6th graders will receive a Course Verification Letter on Monday, March 23rd to bring home and get signed by a parent or guardian. Please review the list of courses your child has chosen for 7th grade and make any changes you would like to make. Every student is expected to turn in their signed Course Verification Letter to their homeroom teacher by Thursday, March 26th even if if they do not want to make any changes. Thank you being such an important part of this process for your child!

Students who are completing 6th grade this spring who would like to take PE or Health in the summer can learn more about how to sign up here: https://web.risd.org/summerlearning/junior-high-programs/. The window to register for summer classes is April 15th at noon to May 15th at 5:00. Once you click on the link to learn more, click on Junior High Programs and then look at the Acceleration Courses section.
