Happy September! I hope you all had a wonderful fun filled summer. The Johnson ECC Team has been working diligently to prepare and plan for this upcoming school year. We are looking forward to greeting new students and welcoming back former students.

On Wednesday evening, September 7th at 6:30 p.m. we will host Parent Orientation Night. This is an evening for Parent/Guardians only. On this night you will have a chance to meet your child's teacher, visit the classroom, ask questions,meet our related service providers, pick up your child's Ipad, and complete important Emergency contact paperwork before your child starts school. You will also hear about student drop off and pick up, our lunch program, and a vey new and exciting interactive Ipad initiative which will support student learning and the home to school communication called, Seesaw.

Thursday and Friday are special days set aside for student orientation. Please check the top of your Welcome letter for your child's date and time to attend. During this time, your child will meet the teacher, meet new classmates and have a chance to listen to a story and complete an activity. Teachers will let you know what your child will need for school and can also answer important questions.

The Weymouth Child Family Community Center and it's affiliated programs are funded by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and is administered by the Weymouth Public Schools.

The CFCE programs work to support all Weymouth families as their child's first teacher, develop community partnerships, and provide quality early educational experiences.

The first Parent Council Meeting of the year will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 4th at 5:30 p.m. See the link below to join.

Parent Council is an amazing support to our Johnson ECC community. They help provide funding for Cultural Art Activities, support for STEM activities such as our aquarium, life cycle of the butterfly program, seeds and planting and support for teacher supplies in the classroom and many more initiatives. Please consider joining this amazing group of parents/guardians to support our kids!
