What a terrific first week of school! As I walk around to the classrooms, I see happy students engaged and learning:

• the routines/schedules of the day
• school rules and expectations
• meeting new friends

Thank you to Parent Council for such a wonderful welcome for all of our preschoolers! I hope you were able to take some first day pictures in front of the sign.

Some reminders:

Parking:

• Thank you for your patience in the parking lot. As families and caregivers become acclimated with our pick up drop off system, the traffic flow should move a bit more quickly.

TUITION:

• Please remember when paying tuition to put your child's first and last name in the memo section of the tuition check. This will assist us in crediting the proper account.

TECHNOLOGY:

If you did not pick up your child's Ipad please make arrangements with the office to pick up.

Please join us for Parent iPad Training and Tutorial Night. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to learn about:

• Interacting and engaging with the iPad application Seesaw

• Seesaw will provide a means of communication between home and school via messages, videos and/or pictures. Your child will also use Seesaw to participate in learning activities related to our curriculum content at home and school

• Accessing available applications provided by Weymouth Public Schools

• Customizing the iPad through the settings function

The Weymouth Child Family Community Center and it's affiliated programs are funded by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and is administered by the Weymouth Public Schools.

The CFCE programs work to support all Weymouth families as their child's first teacher, develop community partnerships, and provide quality early educational experiences.

The first Parent Council Meeting of the year will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 4th at 5:30 p.m. See the link below to join.

Parent Council is an amazing support to our Johnson ECC community. They help provide funding for Cultural Art Activities, support for STEM activities such as our aquarium, life cycle of the butterfly program, seeds and planting and support for teacher supplies in the classroom and many more initiatives. Please consider joining this amazing group of parents/guardians to support our kids!
