STC Live Event & Big Hearts of Fox Valley Fundraiser STC Live Event & Big Hearts of Fox Valley Fundraiser

It was a wonderful weekend dedicated to giving back and engaging with our community in District 303!

Last Friday evening, the St. Charles Business Alliance brought the community together for the final STC Live! of the season. We were so happy to see so many D303 students and families stop by our booth to pick up custom coloring sheets and fun bike stickers! It was a great night filled with music, smiles, and lots of familiar faces.

Then on Saturday, the Big Hearts of Fox Valley event brought even more fun to the community, including a little dunk tank action! Our very own Superintendent, Dr. Gordon, bravely took a seat in the dunk tank. We’re not sure how long he stayed dry, but we’re pretty sure our community had a lot of fun trying to change that!

Big Hearts of Fox Valley does incredible work throughout our community and generously gives back to D303 students. We’re grateful for their continued support and for everyone who came out to support this wonderful organization. Thank you to the St. Charles Business Alliance and Big Hearts of Fox Valley for creating opportunities that bring our community together.

Hands-On STEM at Anderson Hands-On STEM at Anderson

In a recent hands-on STEM activity, Anderson students tackled a collaborative problem-solving challenge. Working in small teams, they used cups, rubber bands, and string to construct towers—discovering the value of teamwork, trial and error, and learning from their mistakes along the way.

Wasco’s Book Cafe Serves Up Some New Genres Wasco’s Book Cafe Serves Up Some New Genres

Earlier this week, our students at Wasco Elementary had an exciting, fun time at their Book Cafe!

Hosted in the Wasco LRC, the Book Cafe invited students from all grade levels to rotate from table to table “tasting” a variety of books with different genres. Students explored many new stories and discovered new genres that they might enjoy, keeping track of their absolute favorites along the way.

At the end of the event, students were able to check out some of their new favorites to take with them and continue reading. Students left the Book Cafe excited and ready to explore some new genres in their reading!

St. Charles North High School Girls Flag Football Head Coach Mike Taormina has been honored as the Chicago Bears Girls Flag Coach of the Week! On Wednesday, September 2nd, representatives from the Bears visited North to surprise Coach Taormina alongside District and school leadership to present him with the recognition.

This award comes on the heels of an outstanding opening week for the Varsity squad, which swept its first three games. Our varsity team had an incredible first week, going 3-0 with wins over Maine South (27-12), the defending 2025 State Champion; Naperville North (34-0); and Romeoville in a 40-12 home opener.
