CherrydalePrimary SchoolCheetah Newsletter September 24, 2025

From the Principal From the Principal

Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!

As we kick off another great week, we want to remind all families about the importance of arrival safety to help keep our campus safe and running smoothly each morning.

Valet is the Way! With very limited parking available, we strongly encourage families to use the valet drop-off system whenever possible. It's quick, convenient, and most importantly—safe for students. If you must park and come in, please do not park in the employee parking lot behind the school. If you are parking in the neighborhood, make sure that you are not blocking driveways, mailboxes or trashcans.

Please Use Crosswalks at all times when walking onto campus. This small step makes a big difference in keeping everyone safe.

TK/Preschool/Kinder Families – We ask that you avoid parking in the Kinder/Preschool lot whenever possible. This area is reserved to ensure a safe and calm drop-off for our youngest Cheetahs. Also, please do not use the designated handicap parking spaces unless you have proper placards or license plates. These spots must remain available for families who need them.

3rd Grade Valet Reminder – Please wait until your vehicle reaches the designated unloading area before allowing students to exit. Early drop-offs can create unsafe situations.

Thank you for your continued support in making arrival time safe for every student, every day!

Warm Regards,

Christine Firth, Principal

Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Dear Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Families,

We are proud to partner again this year with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a program that provides free, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five. Each month, enrolled children receive a new book in the mail, fostering a love of reading and supporting early literacy development.

To help us better understand the program’s reach and how we can support it, we kindly ask you to complete this short survey. We would like to have all responses submitted by October 1, 2025. Your participation will help ensure that more families in our community have access to this incredible resource.

Thank you for your time and support in promoting early literacy for all children!

We make every effort to return items that have names in them. To maximize the likelihood of getting lost items back when they are left on the playground, please make sure your student's belongings are clearly marked.
