Message from Administration Message from Administration

Dear OMS Parents and Guardians,

In October, administrators and school counselors held team assemblies with all students to review OMS expectations and to give further information on topics such as cell phones, social media, rude and mean comments, bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, and civil rights. We also talked with students about the various ways students and families can report issues, the importance of being an upstander (see something, say something) and reviewed possible consequences. We talked to students about discipline being restorative in nature and that discipline is progressive. We wanted students to get a better sense of the types of discipline we use. Attached you will find the slide deck in order to review the main topics we covered.

Our policies and procedures are covered in far more detail in our handbook. The OMS handbook for the 2024 - 2025 school year can be found on the Stoughton Public Schools website (www.stoughtonschools.org). This is a great resource if you are looking for more information or the full description of any policy we touch on in the slides. You are also welcome to contact your child’s school counselor or an administrator for more information or with any questions or concerns.

Best,

OMS Administration
