Happy November, MHSHS Families! ๐Ÿ‚

With the new month underway, weโ€™re so thankful for your partnership and all you do to keep The Pulse strong! Below are a few important updates and reminders as we continue this season together.

  • Families in Need.- As we continue to stay attuned to the needs of our school community, we want to share helpful resources that may support families facing challenges. If you know of a family experiencing food insecurity, please explore the links below for local support and services.
  1. New Mercies Christian Church
  2. Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries
  3. Duluth Co-Op

  • National Family Engagement Month- November is a time to celebrate the vital role families play in student success. At McClure, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school create the heartbeat of our community. Please take a moment to read my message to families on the importance of family engagement here. ๐Ÿ’™ We encourage you to stay connected, participate in upcoming events, and explore meaningful ways to engage with your childโ€™s learning. ๐Ÿ“ฒ Click here for ways to engage!

  • ๐Ÿ‘• Dress Code Reminder- As temperatures drop, please help us maintain a professional and focused learning environment by reminding students to dress appropriately for school. Weโ€™ve noticed more students wearing pajama pants and lounge wear latelyโ€”thank you for your support in helping our students show up ready to learn and lead each day!

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to helping every student thrive at McClure Health Science High School! ๐Ÿ’™

Yours in Service,
Dr. Hernandez

MHSHS Hosts Special Olympics Stick Ball! ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ’™

This week, McClure Health Science High School proudly hosted Special Olympics Stick Ball, and what an incredible celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and joy it was! Students from across the district came together to compete, connect, and showcase their abilitiesโ€”all while earning ribbons and creating lasting memories.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing student volunteers, whose enthusiasm and kindness made this event possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Rodvill and Mr. Boulware for their coordination and leadership, and a special shout-out to Ms. Sprayberry for her support throughout the week. Thank you as well to our Health and PE teachers for generously lending us the gym and helping create a welcoming space for all athletes.

Because of your collective efforts, students with special needs from across our district experienced the joy of competition, teamwork, and belongingโ€”truly reflecting the heart of McClure Health Science High School and our commitment to inclusion and community spirit!

Feeling the Pulse! ๐Ÿ’™

This week, McClure Health Science High School proudly hosted another Fall Rising 9th Grade Night, welcoming students and families from Radloff Middle School and Lilburn Middle School! Families explored our campus with the help of our amazing Peer Leaders, who guided tours and shared their Pulse experiences.

The 9th Grade Suite, and Dr. Myers highlighted what makes McClure Health Science High School such a special place to learn, grow, and feel the Pulse. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening welcoming, informative, and full of Pulse pride!

Page to Stage: A Day to Shine! ๐ŸŽญโœจ

Our first Page to Stage Day was a hit! Students arrived in creative costumes, took over the runway with confidence, and brought their favorite characters to life. The energy, excitement, and Pulse pride filled the halls all day long.

And of course, the CTAE Minion Raid ๐Ÿ’› stole the showโ€”our CTAE team spread laughter and joy across campus, proving once again that at MHSHS, learning and fun go hand in hand!
