Principal Message
Dear Families,
It has been an exciting week here at Windham Center School! We are thrilled about the upcoming visit from the Harlem Wizards. This fun-filled event, sponsored by the WHS Boosters, will take place on March 29th at WHS. Even more exciting, some of our very own Windham Center School staff members will be taking the court as the All-Star Team to face the Wizards! Our students have already been getting in the spirit with several tickets won this week for demonstrating outstanding character. We hope to see many of you there for what promises to be a fantastic community event.
We also want to extend a sincere thank you to all the families who attended our first round of parent-teacher conferences on Thursday evening. We truly appreciate you taking the time to connect with our teachers. Your collaboration plays a vital role in your child’s success, and we value your partnership. We are looking forward to the second round of conferences on March 26th from 3PM to 6PM.
Recently, we have noticed an increase in students not starting their day the “Wildcat Way.” We ask for your support in reminding students to come to school prepared each day with all the materials they need. A strong start helps set the tone for a productive and positive day.
Additionally, we kindly ask that all dismissal changes be entered into Pick Up Patrol by 1:20 PM each day. This helps minimize disruptions to classrooms and ensures a smooth and safe dismissal process. We understand that emergencies do arise, but reducing last-minute changes helps avoid confusion and keeps our students’ routines consistent.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Martin

WCS PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Grade 5-In the fall, you met with your child’s homeroom teacher. For the spring conferences, we ask that you please sign up with the opposite teacher. Our teachers share information about each content area and will provide you with a full update on your child’s progress. Please note that each family should sign up for only one conference.
Grade 6-You may choose to meet with any one content teacher on your child’s team. Please sign up for only one conference with one content teacher. You may also choose to schedule conferences with any Unified Arts teachers if you would like.
