🍎 A Wonderful Start to the School Year!
We have had an amazing start to the school year! Our preschoolers are settling into their classrooms, getting to know their teachers and friends, and learning the daily routines of school. We know that this adjustment is a big one for our students—and for our parents, too! Thank you for your patience and support as everyone gets comfortable with our preschool routines.
🥪 Daily Snack & Lunch Reminder
Please remember to send your child to school each day with a labeled snack and lunch. If you are ordering a school lunch, please be sure to complete the lunch order form by 8:00 a.m. each Monday for the entire week. The form can be found on our preschool website or at the bottom of this newsletter.
📱 Stay Connected Through Apptegy
Please make sure you are signed into Apptegy and checking it regularly. Apptegy is our main form of communication with preschool families, and important forms, reminders, announcements, and information will be shared there throughout the school year. Also be sure to check out our website for upcoming dates, activities, and important information.
🎃 Upcoming Field Trip – Johnson's Locust Farm
We are so excited for our upcoming field trip to Johnson's Locust Farm on October 28 and 29! Please be sure to complete and sign the permission slip sent through Apptegy. We are looking forward to a fun and memorable experience for our preschoolers!

🚽 Potty Training: Working Together!
Potty training is an important step toward independence, and every child develops these skills at their own pace. Consistency between home and school can help children feel confident and successful.
1. Establish a Routine
Encourage your child to use the bathroom at regular times throughout the day and remind them to listen to their body.
2. Encourage Independence
Let your child practice pulling clothing up and down, using the toilet, wiping with support as needed, flushing, and washing their hands. Elastic-waist clothing makes this much easier!
3. Use Positive Encouragement
Celebrate your child's efforts and successes. Accidents are a normal part of the process, so remain calm and reassuring when they happen.
4. Be Prepared & Consistent
Send a complete, labeled change of clothes to school and use similar language and routines at home. Working together helps children build confidence and independence.
Remember: Potty training is a process, not a race! With patience, consistency, and encouragement, we can help our preschoolers become confident and independent with their bathroom routines.
