PTA Update from the Eagle's Nest
PTA Newsletter: Week of April 6, 2026
A Message from the PTA Board
Welcome back! We hope that you and your family had a restful Spring Break. It is hard to believe that in about two months we will be putting a bow on this school year and enjoying summer fun! I know that my kids look forward to this time of year for all of the field trips, special programs, and end-of-year activities. If you have questions about what is going on, please reach out to your teachers and PTA Grade Connectors.
Check out this week's newsletter with all the information on our upcoming events:
- Food Truck and Art Night
- 3rd-5th VIP & Me Event
- 2026/2027 PTA Event and Program Planning
PTA Board Meeting: April 21st
Join us on April 21st in the Media Center for our final in-person PTA Meeting of this school year. During this meeting, we will be celebrating our Board, Grade Connectors, and other School Volunteers, as well as doing some planning for the 2026/2027 school year - yes, you heard that right!
We know that there are so many talented volunteers in our community who have great ideas on how the PTA can support our school, and we want to hear your ideas. If you have suggestions on ways to spend our time and efforts, are interested in taking on a leadership role, or just want to listen in, we welcome you to join us. Being a part of the PTA Planning Workshop is an opportunity to shape your child's experience at Bingham Farms PTA programs and events. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may still share your input with incoming PTA President, Samantha Silver.
- 6-7 pm: 2026/2027 School Year PTA Program and Budget Planning
- 7-8 pm: PTA Board Meeting and Volunteer Celebration
Save the Date
After Spring Break we will have lots of fun things to look forward to: field trips, 1st Grade Concert, end-of-year parties, incoming Kindergarten welcome day, 5th Grade Promotion, Kindergarten Promotion, and more!
- April 28: Art Showcase & Food Truck Night
3rd-5th Grade VIP & Me: May 1
We are excited to offer a VIP and Me Bowling Party. The party is open to grades 3-5. It will happen May 1, 2026 6pm-8pm at Bowl One in Troy, MI. Tickets are $25 per couple and individuals are $15 a ticket. Shoe Rental, pizza, and pop are included with the ticket. Each lane will have 5 bowlers and share a pizza and a pitcher of pop. Shoe sizes are limited. The bowling alley asks everyone to wear tennis shoes in case your size is not available. We look forward to bowling with you all. **All attendees must purchase a ticket in advance**
All Hands on Deck!
We are heading into a busy season at school (and life). Please consider donating a bit of time to help support the many programs and activities taking place at school. In addition to these volunteer opportunities, there will be field trips, end-of-year parties/promotions, and other ways to get involved. Our whole community makes this school special and we hope that you or another family member can share your time and talents with our kids.

Coming Soon: School Supply Sales
Our ever-popular back-to-school supply sale will be returning this April-May with EPI. Last year, over 70% of our school participated in the program, and this year we hope to make it an even bigger participation. We work closely with our rep at EPI to keep costs low and help families avoid the dreaded summer shopping. The kits include items that the teachers specifically want, and in many classes, the supplies are shared. Kits purchased before 5/30 will be discounted to $62. After 5/31, they go to the regular rate of $70 per kit.
How it works:
- Soon, we will send flyers home with your student and post them in newsletters.
- All incoming Jr. K through 5th-grade students will have the opportunity to order their supply kit.
- Once ordered, the kits will be delivered to your student's classroom before the start of school on August 31st.
- The only thing not included in the kits are corded headphones, which all K-5 students need (not JK).
- When we start advertising, if you have a neighbor or friend joining the school, please tell them about this opportunity. Help us get to 100%

Shop to Support the PTA
Kroger Community Rewards
Help our school while you shop. Under your Kroger Plus Card Account > Rewards > Community Rewards, you can select an organization that a portion of your sale goes to support! Choose AC809 for Bingham Farms Elementary and our PTA gets a check with no extra steps after you sign-up.
Box Tops for Education
A great way to support the school is through Box Top$ for Education. Long gone are the days of clipping the barcodes of cereal boxes or soup labels. Download the app, select Bingham Farms Elementary, and each time you shop at the grocery scan your receipt. It will auto calculate the donation and send it to our school! It is easy, and you don't need to know which food or supplies qualify for credit - the app checks for you. Now download that app while you wait for the bus, or in the pick-up gathering zone. Thanks for supporting our school, and be sure to share with friends and family too!
