Catoosa Family Connections
Making the Most of Your Summer Through Family Engagement
Summer break offers a fantastic opportunity for families to connect and learn together outside of their usual school routine! Slower days allow for relaxation and deeper exploration of the things we enjoy. But in order to stop the "summer slide" and keep the learning momentum going, consider these ideas to try as a family:
- embark on nature adventures with hikes and picnics
- explore local parks and trails
- unleash creativity through joint art projects, storytelling sessions, or even putting on a family play
- dive into the world of books by visiting the library regularly
- establish a family reading time
- explore your community by visiting local museums, historical sites, or attending free summer events.
