Beaulac's Bulletin
Mile Tree Elementary School
January 9, 2026
Dear Mile Tree Community,
Happy New Year! I hope that your vacation and your first week in the new year was wonderful! At Mile Tree this week, we spent a lot of time dedicated to welcoming students back into school, resetting expectations for behaviors and academics and having fun in the classrooms! Students also created Hopes and Dreams and set goals for the remainder of this school year. (These practices are part of the Responsive Classroom approach that we implement at Mile Tree.)...It was so exciting to have everyone back together!
As a reminder, there is a half day of school next Friday, January 16th. Our staff has professional development, so dismissal will be at 12:00. Additionally, we do not have school on Monday, January 19th for Martin Luther King Day.
I'd also like to put on your radar that our mid-year benchmark assessment period is rapidly approaching! During the first couple days of February, our students will all partake in a math and a reading assessment to show how much progress they have made so far this year. This is the second (out of three) benchmark assessments that they take this year. It is not a graded assessment, but rather, a tool for teachers to use to effectively support your student. The results will be shared with families as well.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Principal Beaulac
