King Philip Regional High School
Week of December 1, 2024

March 20, 2026
Principal's Message
Greetings KP Community,
With the arrival of spring, there is a renewed sense of energy throughout KPRHS. The warmer weather and longer days are a welcome change, and with them comes a busy and exciting season filled with events, activities, and continued learning. From the start of spring athletics to the incredible accomplishments of our students—such as our Girls Hockey team competing in the State Championship and DECA qualifying a record number of projects for ICDC—it’s always one of the most energized times of the year, and we’re looking forward to all that lies ahead.
A key focus right now is course selection for the 2026–2027 school year, with requests due today. This is an important opportunity for students to thoughtfully consider their goals, interests, and future plans as they build their schedules for next year. We encourage all students to ensure their course requests are complete and to reach out to their school counselors with any questions or support they may need. Taking the time to be intentional in this process will help set the stage for a successful year ahead.

This international day of awareness, observed on March 21, highlights the value, dignity, and contributions of people with Down syndrome around the world. We hope the video inspires greater understanding, kindness, and appreciation for the unique strengths each individual brings to our school community.

Free and Reduced Cost Meals Application
Please note that even though meals will be free for all, it is very important for families in need to still complete the household Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals for the 2025-2026 school year. This allows districts to establish eligibility for other federal benefits and school programs. Families who have been eligible for Free and Reduced Meals in the past must apply again for 2025-2026. Please know that the application is confidential with only the Director of Food Services and administrators having access. All students receive the same meals.

News from the Nurses Office:
Parents/guardians - Please be aware that if your child feels ill while at school - please encourage them to visit the nurse's office for evaluation.
