Community Partners
New Hope PTO has played a big role organizing so many special events throughout the year. In addition to Muffins with Mom on Friday, they are also prepping for an end-of-year dance for our fifth and sixth graders (see details below).
New Hope Recreation Center continues to be one of our closest community partners. Please check their Facebook page often for the latest news.
New Hope Children's Clinic is located on our school campus across from the Rock Gym. To make an appointment call 256-723-4673.
The CARE Center is one of the reasons our school is so special. Families can apply for their child or children to receive Bags of Blessings (weekend food support) and/or participate in our 21st Century Learning Center clubs program. For information on one or both of these programs:
- Visit www.thecare-center.org
- Call the Business Office at 256.723.2273
- Contact Molly Mullinax (molly.mullinax@thecare-center.org)
Important Reminders
CAR RIDERS
Please remember that the tardy bell rings at 7:45 and all faculty and staff need to be with students in the building at this time. If you know you're going to arrive after the tardy bell, please sign your child in at the front office.
NEW HOPE SPIRIT WEAR
Check out the NEW New Hope Spirit Wear Store. This is your one shop stop for school-related spirit wear. You might even find a good Christmas gift!
MENTAL HEALTH OPT-IN FORM
Complete the Mental Health Opt-in Form inside the PowerSchool Portal. This can done two ways...through your web browser or the PowerSchool Parent Portal App. For assistance, contact our registrar (tshaneyfelt@mcssk12.org) or our counselor (aclay@mcssk12.org).
ATTENDANCE LETTERS
Each week, attendance letters will be emailed to families that have a child with an unexcused absence. These letters are auto generated and serve a reminder when a student does not return to school with a note. If you receive one of these letters, email our registrar (tshaneyfelt@mcssk12.org) letting us know why the student was out.
BUS INFORMATION
Each of our buses now has an animal magnet to help our younger students remember which bus they ride.
- 14-80 Mike Carpenter - LION
- 09-15 Johnna Mann - BIRD
- 22-09 Julia Stapler - BEAR
- 18-09 - Bobby Cheyne - PUPPY
- 21-09 Misty Quick - COW

Tribe System News
Our mission is to "empower students to LEARN, LEAD, and LOVE through partnerships with families and community." One way we promote academic excellence, leadership skills, and compassion for others is through our Tribe System.
At the end of each nine weeks, we recognize the Tribe with the most points for that nine weeks. Students can earn Tribe Points for great character, great grades, and great attendance. Students also have opportunities to participate in community service projects and Tribe competitions at different times of the year.
