Principal's Weekly Update

We have an important and busy week ahead. Please remember that this weekend we "spring forward" for Daylight Saving Time. Be sure to set your clocks one hour ahead on Sunday morning. A good night's sleep will help students adjust to the time change and start the week rested and ready to learn.

This week, students will take the MAP growth assessment it is important because it measures academic growth, helps guide instruction and highlights both strengths and areas of support. Please encourage your child to take their time, and do their best. Getting plenty of sleep and eating a healthy breakfast will help them feel prepared and confident.

On Wednesday, we will conduct a Run, Hide, Fight (intruder Drill). This is only a drill, and we are providing advance notice so you can prepare your student if needed. The purpose of the drill is to practice emergency procedures and ensure that students understand safety expectations in the event of an emergency. If you have any questions, or concerns please feel free to contact us.

⚽Soccer

Soccer teams are practicing for their first match on Thu, March 12th against Crystal. This will be our first home game with the new field. Please look in soccer parentsquare for updates on the practice schedule and updates from the coach.

Students MUST have their school ID to enter all games - no exceptions. Only students from BGW and opposing team will be allowed entry.
