Message from the Principal Message from the Principal

Lark Families,

What a fantastic September we’ve had together! Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we kicked off the year. A special thank you goes out to our PTA and everyone who helped us reach our Boosterthon goal—we are so excited to celebrate with new flex furniture and our upcoming STEM assembly!

September was filled with wonderful community-building experiences. From our first Skate City Night to cheering on our incredible 4th and 5th grade runners at the Adams 12 District Cross Country Race, we are so proud of our students’ achievements. Our many clubs are off to a strong start as well, giving students opportunities to connect and grow in new ways.

Schoolwide we are diving deep into new learning focus with new nonfiction text, writing informational pieces and developing number strategies from number identification to exploring fractions and decimals across grades K–5. We are also celebrating the perseverance of our students in ST Math—many have already exceeded our goal of completing 20% of their journey. Way to go, Prairie Hills!

Looking ahead, we are excited to see you at Parent-Teacher Conferences over the next few days. These conversations are so valuable in strengthening the home-school connection and supporting your child’s success. We also can’t wait to gather together for our annual Trunk or Treat event on October 24th—always a highlight of the season!

Have a terrific month,

Stephanie Auday

School-Wide Reminders:

  • As a reminder, there is NO Parking in the South Lot of the school for student safety. Please use the North Lot at all times.
  • Students safe arrival and dismissal are our top priority. With this in mind, please slow speeds and be sure you are not parked in our crosswalks, which blocks views for safe crossing.
  • Important: PETS of any kind are not allowed on school grounds. As community members, we ask your support by not bringing pets and sharing this information with others as you drop-off and pick-up your child. While you may feel your pet is safe around children, not all families feel the same. If you would like to walk your pet, please have your child meet you at the school grounds boundary, outside the fenced areas.
  • For more information about important building-wide procedures, please check-out our Student Handbook located on our school web page linked here.
  • Adams 12 APP: This year, all teacher communication with families will go through the secure messaging right inside the district app! Need support: Click here to learn more about the app. Or stop by the office, anytime!
