Principal's Greeting
Dear Churchill Families,
Thank you so much for your flexibility and patience during E-Learning last week. Despite the cold weather, we had an excellent turnout from our students—well done, everyone!
We’re also excited to celebrate the growth our students made on the Winter Star Benchmark. We are proud of their progress, and reports will be sent home this week.
Below are the impressive results:
- Grade 3 STAR Reading: 80% of students showed improvement
- Grade 3 STAR Math: 92% of students showed improvement
- Grade 4 STAR Reading: 81% of students showed improvement
- Grade 4 STAR Math: 85% of students showed improvement
- Grade 5 STAR Reading: 77% of students showed improvement
- Grade 5 STAR Math: 89% of students showed improvement
As a reminder, please talk to your child about the importance of saying "no" to strangers offering candy or rides to school. It’s crucial that we stay vigilant to keep our community safe. If your child reports any suspicious activity, please don’t hesitate to contact the police immediately.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
Stay Healthy,
Mrs. Peacock

Interim Dean of Students
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Ashley Daniels-Evans will serve as the Interim Dean of Students during Ms. Nakia Norman's maternity leave. In addition, Ms. Sue Fordyce will be the long-term guest teacher for Mrs. Daniels-Evans' class. Rest assured, all school policies and procedures will continue to be followed during this transition.
A Message from the Nurse
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are currently in need of donations for boys' pants (sizes 8-16) and girls' pants (sizes 8-12). We already have a good stock of larger sizes, but additional donations of these sizes would be greatly appreciated.
As accidents can happen during the school day, having extra pants on hand ensures that we can quickly provide students with what they need. Your generosity helps keep our students in class and comfortable!
Thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Megan Brackin, BSN, RN

Attendance Matters
We are excited to welcome our students to school each day! To maintain a healthy school environment, please keep your child at home if they are feeling unwell. Timely attendance is crucial—frequent tardiness or early departures disrupt the learning experience for all students. We encourage you to support your child's success by ensuring they have a consistent routine, eat nutritious meals, and get plenty of rest.
For any attendance-related matters, please be sure to communicate directly with your child’s teacher and the main office. Thank you for your cooperation in helping our students stay engaged and on track!
Parent Advisory Meetings (PAM)

Thank you,
Mrs. Peacock
