For your child’s safety, please remember that student supervision begins at 8:15 AM. We kindly ask that children not be dropped off before this time, as supervision is not available prior to 8:15 AM.

Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classroom by 8:25 AM. The school day ends with dismissal at 3:05 PM.

Hi Prairie Oak Families!

Quarter 1 has officially come to an end, and what a great way to wrap it up with Unity Week! A big shout-out to our PBIS Specialist, Mrs. Mucha, for coordinating a wonderful week, including an exciting BMX anti-bullying performance for our students! Check out some pictures below!

A few reminders for next week:

• Friday, October 30, is a half-day for students.

• Fall Colors: As we head into Halloween, we encourage everyone to wear their favorite fall colors on Friday!

• Classroom Treats: Families are welcome to send store-bought, allergy-friendly snacks. In keeping with our district’s wellness guidelines, we encourage healthier options.

• Treats Going Home: Any treats will be sent home with students rather than eaten at school. If you prefer that your child not receive treats, please let their teacher know.

We celebrated Unity Week with an exciting visit from the “No Bullying BMX” performers! Their impressive tricks paired with messages about kindness and bullying prevention reminded students that we all play a part in making our school a welcoming place. The performers also shared their five keys to success: “I will follow my dreams, be respectful, stay motivated, stay in school, and say no to negative thinking.” Enjoy these highlights as we continue encouraging students to include others, stand up for one another, and choose kindness every day!
