Principal/Vice Principal's Message
Dear LPS Families,
It has been an exciting week at LPS as our young scientists have been fully engaged in their learning. Students have been exploring structures and materials through hands-on activities, thoughtful discussions, and problem-solving challenges. The level of curiosity and engagement has been wonderful to see.
We are looking forward to continuing our science focus next Wednesday as we shift our learning to forces. Students are already asking great questions, and we are excited to see them build on what they have learned.
With the long weekend coming up, we hope families can enjoy some extra time together. A friendly reminder that daylight saving time is also this weekend, so do not forget to spring ahead.
We are also very excited to welcome a new staff member to our school community. Ms. Whang will be joining us for a period of time to teach project-based learning in the afternoons. Her focus will include Social Studies, Science, Art, Physical Education and Wellness. We look forward to the energy and creativity she will bring to these learning experiences.
As always, thank you for your continued support. There is so much great learning happening at LPS, and we are proud of the enthusiasm our students bring each day.
With gratitude,
Louise Loh, Principal
Angela Davis, Vice Principal
Spring Parent/Teacher Conversations
Parent/Teacher Conversations will be held on March 10 (4:00 pm - 7:00 pm) and March 18 (3:30 pm—6:30 pm)
These conversations provide an opportunity for families and teachers to come together as partners, fostering healthy school communities where every child feels supported. Together, we can celebrate strengths and discuss strategies to empower student learning and future readiness.
Comments on report cards are entered after the Conversations and will reflect the meaningful discussions between all interestholders.
Our Child & Youth Care workers will have activities for students. We look forward to connecting with you and working together to support your child’s growth.
We are committed to empowered learning and healthy school communities. Families are invited to view the classroom materials and resources their child is engaging with during Parent-Teacher Conversations.
Bookings are currently open and close on March 6th @ 3:00 pm. Click here to book
This Week's Unplugged Thought
Unplugged play helps kids learn how to negotiate, compromise, and recover when things don’t go their way.
Why This Matters
These skills reduce frustration and improve peer relationships.
Did You Know?
What Is a Life Space Interview (LSI)?
A Life Space Interview (LSI) is a structured, supportive conversation that happens after a challenging situation. It helps students reflect on what happened, understand their emotions, and identify healthier ways to respond next time. LSIs turn difficult moments into learning opportunities.
