Staff Spotlight: Miss Troi Genders (English Teacher)

"Teaching is how I learn about myself and who I am. It’s how I learn how to bounce back from failures and deal with adversities as they come. In my classroom, we’re all learners and we’re all teachers, I have learned so much from my students and I am excited to continue to learn and grow alongside them." - Miss Genders

Ordering Picture Packages

There are a few ways to order picture packages this year from our new picture company, Inter-State Studios.

  1. If there is a primary parent/guardian email in Synergy, an email will be sent from Inter-State Studios when proofs are available with a unique code for your student.
  2. If there is no email in the system for a primary parent/guardian, you can still order a picture package at inter-state.com/order and use the order code 50983NA.
  3. There will be a "last chance" proof mailed to the school when picture packages are delivered 6 weeks after pictures are completed and in the system.
  4. At any given time, parents/guardians can order picture packages throughout the entire school year through the above website.

Senior Tip: Parchment

Class of 2021, as you begin to think and prepare for life after graduation it is important you create a Parchment account. Parchment is the company we use to send your official transcript to a college/university you are applying to, a trade school, or even a job that requires one. Please see the steps below to create your account.

  1. Watch the youtube link below as a "how to" create your account
  2. Parchment Video: Learn how to Create your Account
  3. Create an account using a personal email. Do not use your Warren account because once you have graduated you will not have access to that email!!
  4. Keep your login username and password credentials in a safe place!
  5. If/When you apply to college always log into Parchment to request it be sent to the schools you are applying to.
  6. In Parchment the word "Credentials" means your official transcript.
  7. There is no need to request a transcript until you have applied to college OR someone specifically has asked you to send them one.
  8. When filling out your profile on Parchment, the more information you can enter, the better Parchment can match you with colleges/universities that would be a good fit.

Moorhead Community Resource Center - Opening soon!

Warren is excited to expand our community outreach and support with the opening of the Moorhead Community Center. This location will be a hub of resources for our families, including access to Sonny Day Outreach programming for food, toiletries and clothing, along with partnerships with other community support agencies. Look for information about the grand opening soon!

2020 Census - deadline approaching

If you have not already filled out the 2020 Census, please do so by September 30th. Every person counted in the census means more money for programs to assist our school, students, and families.

  1. The census is important. From school boards to the U.S. House of Representatives, the census is used to distribute power – and resources – to the people. The 2020 Census will determine how much federal funding our community receives for education, healthcare, housing, transportation, emergency services, and more. Every person counted in the census means more money for programs that support MSD Warren Township, our students, and you – their families. The census supports all children, helping them meet challenging state academic standards and have a well-rounded education
  2. The census is safe. By federal law, individual responses to the census are confidential for 72 years and cannot be shared with anyone, including law enforcement, immigration, tax agencies, or even the President of the United States. Your information is private and cannot be used against you.
  3. The census is easy. Completing the census for your household should only take about ten minutes and is simpler than ever to do. Your household should have received a form by mail earlier this year, but if you’ve misplaced it don’t worry! You can still respond by calling (844) 330-2020 (English Version or (844) 468-2020 (Spanish Version) or online at my2020census.gov.
  4. The census’s deadline is approaching. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline to respond to the 2020 Census was extended earlier this year until September 30, 2020. The date your household will reference when completing your census is April 1, 2020. Make sure you count everyone who was residing in your household on this date, including roommates, extended family, friends, and – of course – children!
