Spring ISD Seniors Sign On to Lead the Next Generationπ
Spring ISD celebrated a powerful full-circle moment as 32 graduating seniors signed letters of intent during the 10th annual Future Educators Signing Day at the Randall Reed Community Center at Planet Ford Stadium. Each student made a meaningful commitment to return home as a certified teacher after earning their college degreeβsupported by guaranteed placement in Spring ISDβs Student Teacher and Observation Hours Programs.
Representing Dekaney, Spring and Westfield high schools, these Class of 2026 scholars are heading to universities across Texas and beyond. When they return, they wonβt just walk back through the doorsβtheyβll step into leadership, trading backpacks for lesson plans and student IDs for teacher badges. πππ
Spring ISD students from prekindergarten through 12th grade took on the 2025β2026 She Persisted Writing Contestβand the judges were truly impressed! Inspired by Chelsea Clintonβs She Persisted Around the World, students explored the stories of influential women and connected them to their own journeys with powerful, heartfelt writing. Submissions, guided by campus library media specialists and reviewed by a dedicated panel of judges, showcased voice, courage and creativity at every grade level.
Campus winners included Aiyanna Delaney (PreKβ2 English, Eickenroht Elementary School), Darleyza Grande (3β5 English, Eickenroht Elementary School), Aylin Tejada (6β8 English, Claughton Middle School), Daniela Carbajal Villalobo (PreKβ2 Spanish, Major Elementary School) and Kiumarlin Rodriguez (3β5 Spanish, Eickenroht Elementary School). Spring ISD young writers β your voices matter, your stories inspire, and you absolutely persisted! βοΈπΈ
Spring ISD Pre-K applications for the 2026-27 school year are now OPEN! The early years shape everything. Children ages 3 and 4 build critical skills in reading, problem-solving and social development that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. District data shows students who attend Spring ISD Pre-K perform stronger on third grade STAAR Reading and Math assessments. A strong start matters!
FREE PK3 is available for eligible 3-year-olds who live within district boundaries or are children of Spring ISD employees. FREE PK4 is open to qualifying 4-year-olds, regardless of residency. Space is limited at select campuses, so early application is key. Families should begin gathering required documents now so they are ready when the application goes live. Visit the Spring ISD Pre-K website to apply and secure your childβs seat. Big learning begins here. π Click here for more information!
