The Weekly Update #27

• All children in Reception to Year 6 have been issued with a TT Rockstars login which they can play at home to develop their times tables knowledge.
• For those going on residential please can balances be brought up to date.
• Please ensure your child brings a coat to school each day. Dependant on the weather it might be time to start sending in suncream with your child.
• Please ensure PE kit is always in school all week.
• After-school childcare is now bookable on Arbor and is available until 6pm for £8.
• Breakfast club can be booked on Arbor and is now free for all children.

Next week, we will be reading 'Peppa Visits the Dentist' and 'Doctorsauraus'. We will be learning about the importance of washing our hands, brushing our teeth and being healthy. We will looking to see how soap works with a soapy science experiment, practise cleaning the teeth in our big mouth and having a go at yoga and dance to keep our bodies healthy.

Wednesday is Earth day – so as usual we will be having our Forest school session on the field, where we will be exploring how we can recycle and reuse plastic items.

As part of our maths we will be looking at less and more and on Friday using these skills to make our own fruit salad.

• Please ensure that you have given permission on Arbor under trips for the Acorn Hollow Trip if you want your child to attend.
• Please ensure that your child has a coat in school each day. Wednesday's are our forest school sessions so old clothes are advisable.
• Please can your child bring in suncream which can be left in school.

• Breakfast club can be booked on Arbor.
• Please book nursery provision by Thursday each week wherever possible.

Each half-term the children can earn reading rewards for reading at home or in our free reading school clubs. In school reading clubs are worth 3 reads each and can be booked via Arbor with the other clubs. There is a reading club on a Wednesday lunchtime too for those who cannot stay after school.

Reading reward levels for next half-term:

Bronze - 15 reads

Silver - 20 reads

Gold - 25 reads

We would love it if reads could be uploaded to Seesaw or Tapestry ideally as a video so we can hear your reading and get immersed in the book too. If you have any difficulties with this or need a login please see a member of your child's teaching team.
