Drum Cafe!

We are grateful to our Rogers families that contributed donations to the PTA’s fundraising efforts so that we could provide this wonderful enrichment program for our kiddos this semester. Drum Cafe visited Rogers on Monday and they were a huge hit! The kids drummed to the beat while developing their social interaction and leadership skills in an encouraging way.

DONATIONS NEEDED!

We have two exciting projects planned, but will need all the help with donations. From now until Spring Break, please bring in any magazines (school appropriate) and grocery store ads/brochures you will not be keeping! The more the merrier!🙂

First Grade Musical!

Hello! My name is Michaela Haskell and I am the music teacher at Rogers. I am so excited to announce that our first grade program is on March 23, 2023. Please drop off your student at 5:30 to head to the gym. Parents and visitors will head to the cafeteria to be seated. Our program will start at 5:50.

Please have your child dress up as a pirate! If you would not like your child to dress up, please have them wear a Rogers shirt.

Checking Out Students In The Front Office

Our front office is happy to assist parents in checking out students early when situations arise that require students to leave campus with a parent or guardian. Please note that unfortunately we are not able to pull students out of class to check them out until the parent is physically on campus and in the front office. We are unable to accommodate calls from parents or guardians driving to campus requesting that students be in the front office and "ready to go," as this creates minutes of lost learning. Thank you for understanding this district-wide procedure and we appreciate your patience. Please reach out to Principal Penny with any questions regarding this procedure.

Gifted & Talented Program Referrals

The 2022-2023 Gifted and Talented Program referral window is February 21st-March 6th.

1st-5th grade parents will receive a school messenger email with specific referral details on Tuesday, February 21st.

Information about the Gifted and Talented Program may be found on the FISD Gifted Education website.

Please contact your home campus G/T teacher with any questions.

Snack Donations

Your child is welcome to bring a snack to school each day! As a grade level we want to ensure that each child always has something to eat when they are hungry! Snack donations to your child's classroom are greatly appreciated. Please make sure that if your child is in the peanut free class that the snack you send does not have peanuts! Snacks do not just have to be in individual bags, anything is appreciated!
