Missing Anything? Missing Anything?

First quarter is nearly over and our Lost and Found space is getting packed. If your student is missing their lunchbox, water bottle, Chromebook bag, or something else, have them check our Lost and Found space outside of the Media Center.

Another great spot to check is every pod. It is possible that an item from one pod is placed in another.

Student Behavior at Football Games Student Behavior at Football Games

Hello Mustang Families,

We know that many of our Strongsville Middle School students look forward to Friday night football games—not only to cheer on the team, but also to spend time with friends and enjoy the fun atmosphere. We’re glad our students want to show their Mustang Pride, but we also want to remind everyone that the same expectations we hold during the school day apply at school events. Being Mustang STRONG (Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Own It, Never Settle, Get Engaged) doesn’t stop at the classroom door—it carries over into the stands and beyond.

To make sure our football games are a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance, here are a few reminders for SMS students:

  • Students should stay in the Middle School section of the bleachers (left side near the end zone) throughout the game, unless given permission by an administrator or teacher.

  • Students should not be walking or running around the stadium, standing along the fence line, or gathering under the bleachers.

  • If a student is not in the designated Middle School section, they must sit with their parent or another trusted adult.

  • Please leave footballs, toys, and other items at home. Throwing objects, horseplay, or similar activities are not permitted.

  • Students are expected to follow the directions of Strongsville staff and return promptly to the student section if asked.

  • Respectful, school-appropriate language should be used at all times. Profanity or disrespectful remarks will not be tolerated.

  • Help us keep our stadium clean—no littering during the game and please throw away all trash before leaving.

  • Show good sportsmanship by cheering positively and supporting our team—loudly and proudly—no matter the outcome!

The final varsity football home game is Friday, October 17. Please take a few minutes to review these expectations with your student so we can all work together to create a safe, welcoming, and spirited environment for the Mustang community.

Thank you, and Go Mustangs!

Any sixth grade student that would like an alternative to eating in the cafeteria is welcome to make reservations at The Lip Diner. Come relax, listen to music, and enjoy interacting with your friends from other pods! The Diner is open 5 days a week during the sixth grade lunchtime. Visit the link and sign up for the days you would like to come. We book a week in advance so make sure to sign up if you plan on attending (and you might notice that reservations won't open until the week prior). Students can access the link on the Class of 2032 Google Classroom.

*Note for students: If you are unable to use the links above, try to type in the tiny URL on your Chromebook (must be logged into their SMS account).
