Messages From Manchester

It was a great first official week for me at Norwood School. I have enjoyed getting to know your children as I visit classrooms and hang out in the lunch room & recess with them. Over the past 2 weeks, I have been able to get into most every class to read the story Be You to students and share a little bit about myself, as well as hear details about their lives as well. Connection & belonging are very important to me to lay the foundation of trust with the students. I don't want their first interaction with me to be difficult or punative. The same goes for family members as well.

To continue getting to know all the layers of the Norwood Community, I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Thursday's OPEN HOUSE from 6:00-7:00. We will all start in the All Purpose Room for a quick welcome & introductions. Families will be able to explore all the amazing community partner tables, before heading to your child(ren)'s classrooms.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Thursday or events in the future!

Remember, NO SCHOOL on Tuesday. Have a great week.
