Upcoming Out of Uniform Days Upcoming Out of Uniform Days

We will be offering two upcoming out-of-uniform days to raise funds for organizations that are close to our hearts. In recognition of American Heart Month, one out-of-uniform day will support the Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, next week we will be raising funds for the No Foot Too Small organization. Both of these deserving organizations have made a meaningful and lasting impact on members of our school family.

School Board Message School Board Message

Dear St. Patrick School Families,

My name is Ryan Occeña, and I am currently serving my second term as a school board member. My family has been with the wonderful St. Patrick community for the past six years. I currently have a 6th grader (Veronica) and a 1st grader (Merryn) at St. Patrick, and one at Clover Patch (Anneliese). We have loved our time at this school and look forward to all of our children experiencing the great education we provide here.

Cold weather notwithstanding, the St. Patrick Catholic School Board met on January 22, and our school continues to be operating well. Teacher representatives Steve Baird and Janae Gross updated the board on plans for Catholic Schools Week, and Mr. Wiebers reported that preliminary FAST results indicate that our student body is, once again, academically very well prepared. Coming soon on February 14, The Main Event promises to be an exciting evening of festivity for parents to relax and enjoy our school community together. We encourage families to get their tickets for the Mystery Box raffle and for the Main Event itself – you won’t want to miss this night!

Beyond our regular business, the board recommended ways to make it easy for families to support our school through volunteering time, etc, because the involvement of parents in our school community sets an example for our young people and is part of what sets our school apart from other school options.

We would like to remind the school community that there are three positions on the school board up for reelection this year, including seats currently held by Nate Allison and Molly Lahart. Please reach out to Mr. Wiebers or any member of the school board to express interest in running this year.

Now that we are halfway through the school year, it is a good time to look back and see how far our students have come already as they grow in both academics and faith. It is such a blessing to have a school community like this one in which to live and learn, and thank you for being part of it. We look forward to continuing to work together to support the success and growth of our students and school community. I hope to see you at the Main Event!

In Christ,

Ryan Occeña
