What an incredible day for our Ultra Fun Run this past Thursday! Under beautiful, clear skies, our students put in an amazing effort on the track. We are so proud of every single one of our runners and fundraisers for their hard work and school spirit.

Thanks to the tremendous support of our community, as of printing, our school has raised a total of $36,000—a recent record!

To celebrate our fundraising milestones, Mr. Reese proved to be an exceptionally good sport. After the community surpassed the $30,000 goal, he had his head shaved live in front of the entire student body! Since we reached the $25,000 mark as well, he will also be taking a few pies to the face—though we decided to give him a well-deserved break and push the pie toss to next week.

Thank you to all the families, friends, and sponsors who donated and cheered us on to make this year's Ultra Fun Run such a huge success!

📊 California School Dashboard & CAASPP Reports Released! 📊 California School Dashboard & CAASPP Reports Released!

We are excited to share that the California Department of Education has released the latest California School Dashboard and CAASPP Assessment results.

Understanding the California School Dashboard

The California School Dashboard is an online tool designed to give parents and community members a clear, comprehensive look at how schools are performing beyond a single test score. Instead of letter grades, the Dashboard evaluates school performance using a color-coded rating system ranging from Red (lowest) to Blue (highest), with Green representing high performance and strong progress towards state standards. The Dashboard measures multiple aspects of school success, including:

  • Academic Achievement: Performance on state assessments in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and Science.

  • School Climate & Engagement: Attendance and suspension rates.

  • Language Acquisition: Progress made by English Learner students.

Celebrating Breeze Hill's Success! 🌟

We are proud of the hard work shown by our students, teachers, and staff! On the newly released California Dashboard:

  • Green Level in ELA & Math: Breeze Hill Elementary achieved a Green performance level in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics.

  • Outperforming the State Average: Breeze Hill outperformed the overall California state average across nearly all evaluated categories.

  • Strong School Climate: Breeze Hill also earned a Green performance rating for low suspension rates.

Thank you to our amazing families for your continued partnership, support, and involvement in helping our students thrive. To view the full Breeze Hill report and explore the data, you can visit the California School Dashboard.

🧸 Friendly Reminder: Please Keep Personal Toys at Home 🧸 Friendly Reminder: Please Keep Personal Toys at Home

Recently, we have noticed an increase in students bringing personal toys to school—including NeeDohs/fidgets, action figures, plush toys, and personal sports equipment.

While we love seeing our students' creativity and playfulness, special personal items brought to school can easily become misplaced, lost, traded, or damaged during the school day. We want to prevent hurt feelings and keep your child’s favorite items safe at home! Additionally, extra items in backpacks and classrooms can create unintended distractions during learning time.

How you can help:

Please take a moment to review this rule with your child and do a quick backpack check together before leaving for school each morning.

Thank you so much for your partnership in helping us keep our school environment focused, safe, and fun for everyone!

We ask for your continued partnership in reinforcing our Pillars and promoting positive behavior across campus. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. By working together, we can ensure a positive and nurturing school culture for every member of our community.

1. Be Welcoming - say hello and greet others on campus; be accepting of others; share materials; and be a good listener.

2. Do No Harm - put your materials away; take care of your materials; throw trash away; keep hands and feet to yourself..

3. Use Choice Words - wait your turn to speak; use quiet/inside voices; respond kindly; and use polite language when speaking to adults.

4. Never Too Late to Learn - follow directions the first time; help others; use your best effort; and be prepared to Learn.

These 4 Pillars , when followed purposefully, lead us to the last pillar which makes us THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE!
