NJSIAA Super Bowl Public Service Announcement
Many New Jerseyans can’t think of February without thinking of football. As we prepare to revel in the excitement of the big game, NHTSA and the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (DHTS) would like to once again remind everyone of the importance of driving sober.
On Super Bowl Sunday, and every day of the year, play it right by having a winning game plan on how you will get home after the party. Over the past 5 years, there have been over 2,700 crashes that took place on Super Bowl Sunday, 531 of them resulting in an injury. Super Bowl Sunday also sees nearly double the rate of alcohol related crashes where 5.1 percent of all crashes taking place on that day involve one or more drunk drivers.
Parents, remember that you are responsible for keeping your children safe and setting a good example for them to follow. Show them how to be a valuable team player and offer to be the designated driver.
If you’re hosting, have plenty of non-alcoholic options available for your guests. If someone at the party is impaired, intercept those keys. Fans don’t let fans drive drunk!
Have fun, but stay safe out there, NJ! Find out more about being a Winner Behind The Wheel by visiting https://www.njsiaa.org/health-safety/be-winner-behind-wheel-safe-driving-teens

The Pazmino Club Updates!
NHS - Is having our annual Family Game Night open to all in the community on Tuesday, February 28th from 5pm - 8pm. Board games, Card Games, Gym Games, karaoke and so much more will be offered. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by seeing a member of the NHS ahead of time.
Coin Club - The Coin club of BTHS has been up to some great things and have been looking forward to more. There is a fundraiser for Bubbakoos on 2/10/23. We want to bring fundraising to restaurants people love. In addition, the next meeting will feature a guest speaker, Mr. Martone. They will speak on their surreal and rare collection of British coins over the course of 500 years.
Class of 2025 is planning on running a paint party for the month of February. It will run as part of the NHS Game Night and open to anyone that would like to express their artistic abilities on canvas. Paint, brushes, and a canvas to take home will be provided.
SOAPS - will be hosting our "Silhouette Singer" fundraiser sometime during late March. It is a spin-off of the popular show the Masked Singer where BTHS faculty and staff are singing on stage with a clear curtain in front of them to create their silhouette. Audience members will then be chosen to guess the singer.
