The 2025-2026 school year will be here soon! We hope you and your family have enjoyed your summer break and that you have had the chance to make some memories!

Open house will be Thursday, August 7th from 4:30pm-6:00pm and the first day of school will be Monday, August 11th. See below for more information regarding open house, the first day of school, and arrival and dismissal procedures. We can't wait to see all of our students and families!

Please join us for Popsicles with the Principals on Monday, July 21st from 9am-10am or 6pm-7pm. Our playground will be open for students to play, catch up with friends, and enjoy a popsicle! We miss our mallards and would love to see you then!

If you have a child, or know of any children living in our attendance area, who will be five years old on or before August 1st, now is the time to register them for kindergarten! You can visit registration.sdale.org to register your child. We look forward to meeting our new mallards!

Our school will host Kindergarten Jumpstart for incoming kindergarteners who will be attending Monitor from July 28th-August 1st from 8:30am-11:30am each day. Our newest mallards will have the chance to learn about their school, meet some friends, and get a jumpstart on kindergarten skills! Attendance is optional, however even if your child cannot attend every day, we would still love to have them! You can sign up your child using the link below. We can't wait to meet our new mallards!

In addition to our regular open house on Thursday, August 7th, we will have a special kindergarten only open house on Friday, August 1st from 11:15am-11:45am. To wrap up our week of kindergarten jumpstart, incoming kindergarten students will have the opportunity to participate in our kindergarten signing day on Friday as well! Families will be able to meet their child's teacher, get transportation information, pay their child's school supply fee and more!

We will have our open house for the 2025-2026 school year on Thursday, August 7th from 4:30pm-6:00pm. You will be able to meet your child's teacher, pay your school supply fee, get transportation information, and more!

All students at Monitor will be provided with school supplies to start the school year. Instead of purchasing supplies, we ask families to pay a school supply fee to help teachers replenish supplies throughout the school year. This year, the school supply fee will be $15.00. Students will be provided with a water bottle as part of their school supplies, and school t-shirts will be available for purchase at a later date. You can pay your child's school supply fee online using the link below. When paying online, please include your child's name and grade at checkout. You can also pay at open house or by sending cash or a check with your child following the start of school.

The first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year will be on Monday, August 11th. Below you will find the 2025-2026 academic calendar. Please refer to this when scheduling appointments or trips so you can ensure students don't miss school when possible!

Our school hours are 7:45am-3:10pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students are dismissed early on Wednesdays with our school hours being 7:45am-1:50pm. Students who arrive after 7:45am will need to be checked in by an adult in the front office. When using the front entrance to check in students arriving late to school, please park in a parking spot and walk your child to the front entrance. Our car rider line is in the back of the building. Car rider line begins at 7:30am each morning and closes at 7:45am. When picking up students in car rider line in the afternoon, please be sure your student's car tag is displayed in the front window of your car and leave the car tag visible until your child has loaded.
