Activity #2 - The Best Version of You
Month of the Military Child
April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of our military-connected students and their families. We are incredibly thankful for the service and dedication of the families in our district who support our country in so many ways. To show our appreciation, we will be honoring these families with a special breakfast this Friday. If you are a military family, please be sure to sign up using the provided Google Form—we would love to celebrate you!

Bookmark Contest Winners
During Read Across America Week, students competed in a Bookmark design contest. They had to enter their own unique design for the theme: Reading is a Journey. Teachers and students had an opportunity to vote for the top entries and the top five bookmarks are featured here. These five students received their original entries back laminated and their designs were copied into bookmarks for all students to enjoy when they visit the SMS library! Congratulations to these students and thank you to all of those who entered their design!
