💡 Things to Know
College in the High School: Dropping a Course at WHS
With the drop date for College in the High School (CiHS) courses through EWU quickly approaching (November 25), we want to clarify the process for dropping a college-level class. Not sure which college a CiHS class is offered through? Find the complete list of CiHS classes offered by WHS HERE.
Any student who is enrolled in a college-level course and no longer wishes to receive college credit for that course should speak with their teacher as soon as possible. If the student and teacher determine that dropping the college credit portion of the class is appropriate, the student has one of two options moving forward with dropping a college course:
- Option 1: Drop the course at the university ONLY, but continue to work towards a letter grade and 1.0 credit with the college course/AP name on the HS transcript.
- Option 2: Drop the course at the university and “switch” to HS credit (.5) with a Pass/Fail.
Questions? Reach out to Assistant Principal Ricardo Iñiguez.
