Ivan Green Weekly Update

Dear IG Families:

This was another super week of learning AND celebrations! We hosted our first grade concert (thanks Miss Adams) and celebrated both the hundredth day of school and Valentine's Day. We were so busy, that I bet your little Lancers could use some down time this weekend.

As a reminder school is closed next week. Our main office will be closed for the week, too. Our next day of school is Monday, February 26. We look forward to hearing about the adventures you all have on our time off.

We are still searching for a few teacher aides to work here at Ivan Green. It is a great schedule for a parent of a school-age student. Please contact me if you are interested in learning more.

Finally, the picture to the right is of this week's Gym Class Heroes. They are each selected for showing HEART in physical education class. We are proud of them!

Sincerely,

Lucas Hiley, Ed.D.

Principal

Kindergarten students have been working on using story elements to retell fairytales. Last week, the student built the setting, a bridge and used character puppets to retell the fairytale, The Three Billy Goats Gruff. They retold the story starting at the beginning, moving to the middle and stopping at the end.
