Lunch on the Lawn – RSVP Instructions Lunch on the Lawn – RSVP Instructions

RSVP Deadline: Wednesday, November 19th @ 12:00 PM RSVP Deadline: Wednesday, November 19th @ 12:00 PM

This year, with our new Raptor Safe Event program, we had to get a little creative to keep our Lunch on the Lawn running smoothly!

In the past, our Google Forms allowed us to sort RSVPs by teachers and students, which helped us easily coordinate when students should come out to lunch with their visitors. However, our new Raptor system does not allow us to make those same changes to the RSVP form.

To stay organized, we’ve created a separate RSVP link for each homeroom teacher. This will help us prepare accurate lists for teachers and ensure a smooth check-in process on the day of the event.

👉 Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to our Smore newsletter and find your child’s homeroom teacher’s name.

  2. Click the link under their name to RSVP for Lunch on the Lawn.

  3. You will need to RSVP for each child you plan to eat with.

  4. On the day of the event, you’ll only need to scan one QR code when you arrive.

  5. RSVP forms will close at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday so we can finalize our lists for teachers.

🕒 Didn’t RSVP in advance?
No problem — you can still attend! You’ll just need to check in at the front office, which may take a little longer while we get your student to you.

Thank you for helping us keep this fun event organized and safe for everyone!

Elementary and Intermediate will be hosting 1 Lunch on the Lawn for parents each 9 weeks. Good NEWS: We are staggering the dates for each of these campuses! Hopefully this will help out with picking up food for you students!

Bring your picnic blankets and come enjoy lunch with your student. If the weather does not permit, it will not be rescheduled.

RSVP link will be sent prior to the event date:

  • Parking will be available in both the front and back of the school. Check-in tables will be set up at both locations.
  • Please have your QR code ready at check-in to help speed up the process.
  • After checking in, you will receive a visitor badge. A visitor badge is required to attend Lunch on the Lawn
  • These are regular instructional days at Griffis; the school schedule has not been adjusted.
  • Early sign-outs will be considered unexcused and will follow the district’s unexcused early sign-out policy.
  • If you choose to sign your child out early for an unexcused early sign-out, this must occur after their scheduled lunch time.
  • After lunch, students are required to line up with their teacher and return to the classroom. Parents/guardians who wish to sign them out must do so through the front office. At that time, staff will call the student from class.

This procedure is in place to ensure the safety of all students and to keep teachers informed of who has been checked out.

Thanks for your help with ensuring our students are safe and accounted for at all times!
